Who is "Michael Bartone?"

Michael Bartone is a screenwriter currently based in Lynchburg, VA. He has always had a passion for great storytelling, stemming from an early love of RPGs and webcomics. This eventually led him to fall in love with cinema, becoming inspired by works from the likes of Satoshi Kon, David Lynch, Bong Joon Ho and Chiaki J. Konaka. His goals are to become a professional screenwriter and to follow his creative drive wherever it takes him.

He has previously written and directed the short film The Author, a thriller about an author who loses his sense of reality as he becomes more and more obsessed with his story. He has also worked as a sound mixer/boom op on many other short films, including Heartstrings and Hitmen, Roscoe, A Bag of Bullets, Curro and the Aevus, and Semicolon, as well as working as a sound utility on the feature film The Mulligan.
